Margarida Barbal i Rodoreda, soprano

He studied singing and clarinet at the Superior Municipal Conservatory of Music of Barcelona and at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. Degree in Psychology from the University of Barcelona and postgraduate in Speech Therapy Intervention in voice disorders by the Ramon Llull University. He specializes in corporal techniques applied to the arts.
He has taught at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1992-2014) and since 2002 he has been a professor of conscious body Techniques at the Superior School of Music of Catalonia.
After an artistic itinerary in various fields, especially as a singer and choirmaster, since 2009 he has focused on music of the Middle Ages.
In this field, she is formed with Catherine Schroeder at the Center for Medieval Music in Paris and counts with Juan Carlos Asensio.
He has been a member of the Scivias group (2009-2014) dedicated to the research and interpretation of medieval music, and particularly the writing by women.
Since 2015, he works with the quotationist Catherine Weidemann, with whom he has recorded the CD Lumière vivante with songs by Hildegarda de Bingen (Psalmos. Freiburg, 2016).
